What lockout service covers
Lockout work is non-destructive entry for cars, crossovers, and small trucks. It is not a rekey, a duplicate fob program, or a stolen-vehicle unlock. We open the door, you retrieve the keys, and you drive away. The $65 starting rate assumes a standard passenger vehicle and a legal parking spot we can work beside.
This service sits under roadside assistance because the same truck often carries jump packs and tire tools. If you flattened a tire and then locked the spare in the cabin, one call can handle both. We cover parade-route sidewalks, hotel porte-cocheres, and apartment lots across the metro.
How a lockout call works
- Call (504) 414-8034. Say if anyone is inside, if the engine is running, and the year, make, and color.
- We quote from $65 and give a 30-minute-class ETA. Child-inside calls move to the front of the board.
- Stay with the car. Have ID ready. Do not wedge a screwdriver in the door while you wait.
- The driver verifies ownership, protects the paint, and opens the door with the correct tool set.
- You test the fob and spare. If the battery is dead, we jump it before we leave the block.
When lockouts spike in New Orleans
Festival weekends, second-line Sundays, and grocery runs on Veterans produce clusters of lockouts. Uptown meters on Magazine and parking around City Park are regular pins on our map. Running-car lockouts in summer heat are treated as urgent because cabin temperatures climb fast. Say that phrase on the call if it applies.

What not to do while you wait
Do not slam a coat hanger through the window felt. You can tear the airbag curtain or the latch cable and turn a $65 job into a body-shop bill. Do not post your VIN in a public comment asking strangers to unlock it. Wait with the car, keep the phone on, and we will walk up in the average 30-minute window.
“A lockout is a calm job if you call before you try a coat hanger. Tell us whether a child or pet is inside and whether the car is running. That changes tools, speed, and which driver we send.”
